Landslide obstructs Narayangadh-Muglin road again

CHITWAN: A landslide has obstructed the Narayangadh-Muglin road section in Chitwan district again from Friday evening.

The traffic along the road connecting the Capital with the East-West Highway was obstructed since 7 pm today after a landslip at Char Kilo in Chandibhanjyang-5 blocked the road.

Engineer Shiva Khanal at the Muglin-Narayangadh Road Project said an excavator and a loader have been mobilised to open the blocked road.

He added that it can not be ascertained when the road would open as falling of the landmass has continued.

Khanal, however, maintained that the road opening task would take around four hours after the landslide stopped.

Dozens of vehicles have been stuck halfway due to the obstruction.

This is the biggest landslide along this road this season, according to Khanal.
