Landslides, floods destroy several houses

Floods and landslides triggered by incessant rainfall since last night has destroyed many houses and left one person injured in Gandaki Province.

The injured has been identified as Sagar Chhetry, 45, of Annapurna Rural Municipality, Kaski. Chhetry was injured after a landslide hit the wall of hiss house at Ghandruk. The mud slip that fell above the house damaged the house wall. Police said Chhetry is receiving treatment at a local health post.

Similarly, the flood in Arpan Khola has damaged agriculture farms in Pokhara metropolis-14. Police said a poultry farm operated by local Kul Bahadur Shrestha was damaged by the flood. Similarly,  a poultry farm operated by Tanka Bahadur Khadka was swept away. The flood has also swept away the fish from his fish farm.

Likewise, the landslide has also damaged some parts of a house belonging to Chetnath Subedi of Annapurna Rural Municipality. No human casualty has been reported so far, said police.

Landslide has also damaged three houses in Phedikhola Rural Municipality of Syangja. Houses belonging to Min Bahadur Chhetry, Shyam Bahadur Damai and Gopal Damai of the rural municipality were damaged by the landslide.
