Landslides obstruct relief distribution in Sindhupalchok

MELAMCHI: Problem has surfaced in relief distribution to April 25 earthquake survivors due to landslides along many road sections in Sindhupalchok district.

The task was disrupted due to landslides following the incessant rainfall at different places including Tatopani, Tipeni, Liping Bazaar, Kauledobhan, Barhabise and Helambu, said the Nepal Red Cross Society Sindhupalchok district President, Rajendra Man Talchabhandel.

The Red Cross had been distributing relief materials in the district.

Helambu, Gunsa, Baruwa, among other villages still lack relief materials. The relief materials would be distributed in the remaining VDCs soon after resumption of transport services, it is learnt.

The Red Cross has been distributing relief materials under the coordination of World Food Programme for the fast one month.
