Late-night fire guts restaurant in Pokhara

POKHARA: Property worth more than Rs 20 million was gutted when a fire broke out in a restaurant near Lakeside, Pokhara on Tuesday.

The Tristar Restaurant, established by Dhamendra Bataju a year ago, has been completely gutted in the fire that started at around 10:25 pm yesterday.

The inferno also engulfed a travel agency, an ATM booth and a money exchange office being operated in the building.

Two motorcycles parked in front of the restaurant have also been damaged, police informed.

The fire was brought under control at midnight with the help of three fire brigades.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
