Lawati for reconciliation between King, parties

Phidim, November 12 :

Vice-chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Padma Sundar Lawati, today stressed the need for reconciliation between the King and the political parties.

Addressing a programme organised to mark the 121st birth anniversary of Mahaguru Phalgunand in Phidim, he said both the King and the parties should join hands to find a solution to the present crisis dogging the nation. Stating that foreign interference has increased after the February 1 royal proclamation, Lawati said the time has come for everyone to save the country before the situation deteriorates further.

He said the country is moving backwards towards regression due to egoistic tendency of the King, the Maoists and the political parties. The former minister also urged all stakeholders to find out a real solution to the present crises.

“I request all the democratic forces to create an appropriate environment to hold peace talks with the Maoists,” Lawati said.

Talking about the municipal polls, he said if the political parties boycotted the election, the country would go to the hands of the autocratic rulers.
