Leaders want traitorous MPs punished

Dharan, May 6 :

Representatives of political parties today flayed the participation of the followers of royal regime in the House. They urged the government to punish MPs responsible for perpetuating regression.

Speaking at an interaction organised here today by Press Chautari, Sunsari, NC general committee member Giri Raj Acharya said: “MPs backing regression should be punished.” Janamorcha Nepal leader Mohan Timilsina said: “People feel uneasy when they see backers of regression in the parliament.”

Yam Pradhan, vice-chairman, Press Union, said: “We have to be ready for another stir if these tainted members are not expelled.”

Sunsari in-charge of the CPN-Maoist, Mukesh, said: “The Maoists will pursue a peaceful path if the government implements the 12-point agreement honestly. But the MPs’ behaviour in the parliament makes us suspicious of their intent.”
