Left alliance's Rokaya wins Jumla (B) provincial assembly seat

JUMLA: CPN-UML's Padam Bahadur Rokaya, representing the left alliance, has won the Jumla Provincial Assembly (B), securing 10,458 votes against 5,280 of his closest contender Bhim Nidhi Hamal of the Nepali Congress.

Rokaya had lost the second Constituent Assembly election in 2013 to NC candidate Lalit Jung Shahi by 500 votes.

Of 27,344 registered voters for Jumla (B), only 17,827 votes were cast, while 544 votes were declared invalid, according to Chief District Election Officer Prakash Dhungana.
