Leftist unification intolerable to Nepali Congress: Leader Dahal

BARA: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Co-chair and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the main opposition party Nepali Congress are having a hard time tolerating the recent leftist unification.

Leader Dahal remarked that the opposition's protests won't deter the government. He said this after laying foundation stones of two separate infrastructure projects in Bara district on Sunday.

Dahal urged the Nepali Congress to act as a progressive force rather than organising protests for the sake of protesting, adding that the two-thirds majority government won't work against the interest of the nation and its people.

Dahal laid foundation stones of the nine-kilometre Motisar--Kaliya road section, and Bishrampur Rural Municipality building and park construction projects in Bara today. The Ministry of Urban Development is supporting the projects with Rs 408.93 million and Rs 5.5 million respectively.

Leader Dahal also stressed that he is committed to the development of the region.
