Leftist's two-third win in polls, just daydream: RJPN general secretary
RAJBIRAJ: Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal (RJP-N) General Secretary Manish Kumar Suman claimed that the left alliance could not garner a two-third majority in the election.
The RJPN general secretary who is also the State Assembly candidate from Saptari-2 (Kha) accused the leftist parties of understating and cheating on the Madhesi people. He said they would not get votes from them in the second phase of elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies scheduled for December 7.
The left alliance's claim of garnering a two-third majority was just a dream, the RJP-N general secretary said and added, "The Madhesi people will not give their votes to the leftist alliance as the parties in the alliance were the same who had promulgated the constitution against the will of Madhesis and stood against the Constitution amendment process." He was confident that the Madhesi alliance would win every seat in the Province 2 that comprises eight districts.
Accusing the left alliance of intending to impose a one-party system by suppressing democracy, he warned the Madhes agitation would continue until the Constitution was revised meeting their aspirations. The Madhesi alliance comprising RJP-N and Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal was forged as per the interests of the Madhesi people, according to him.
He urged Madhesi people to vote for the Madhesi alliance candidates in the election and prove their strength.
