Leopard attack injures four in Morang
MORANG: At least four persons, including two forest officers, were injured when a leopard attacked them in Rajghat of Morang district on Thursday.
According to Police Inspector Chandra Bahadur Thapa of Urlabari Area Police Office, the injured were forest officers, Hem Sagar Neupane and Bir Bahadur Katwal as well as Tanka Lal Dhimal (62) and Khusi Lal Dhimal of Athiyabari in Rajghat.
Neupane and Katwal are deployed at the Urlabari Forest Office Sector One in Morang.
Police said the leopard was hiding behind a bush and attacked Tanka Lal while he was ploughing his field at around 8 am today.
The wild animal also attacked Khusi Lal, who reached the field to rescue Tanka Lal.
All the injured are being treated at a local hospital.
Police have tightened security arrangements to bar wild animals from entering the human settlement.
