Leopard attack injures man in Kanchanpur

BHIMDUTTANAGAR, KANCHANPUR: A 45-year-old man was injured in a leopard attack in Bhimduttanagar today.

Chhauna Rana, a permanent resident of Bagphata of Bhimdutta Municipality-18 in the district, was severely injured in the leopard attack.

He has been rushed to the Seti Zonal Hospital in Dhangadhi, police said.

The wild animal entered a human settlement adjoining the Shuklaphanta National Park and attacked Rana. The leopard also killed a goat.

The settlement lies in the park's buffer zone. Security personnel were mobilised to chase away the wild animal.
