Light aftershock of ML 4.1 hits Nuwakot
KATHMANDU: A light tremor was felt in Nuwakot district on Saturday.
According to the National Seismological Centre (NSC), Lainchaur, the aftershock of the April 25 earthquake was of local magnitude 4.1 and was recorded at 3:54 am. The epicentre was near Bhadratar of the district.
It was the first significant aftershock that the NSC recorded after seven days.
The coordinates of the epicentre are 27.86°N, 85.29°E.
The last aftershock was recorded at 8:22 pm on February 13 with its epicentre at Sindhupalchok.
Aftershocks of the April 25 earthquake are being experienced even 11 months after the devastating quake had rattled the country.
