Tremors recorded after two days, epicentres in Rasuwa, Dolakha

KATHMANDU: Two light tremors were recorded in Nepal on Monday after two days.

The National Seismological Centre said that the aftershocks of April 25 earthquake hit Rasuwa district at 4:01 pm and Dolakha district at 5:39 pm.

The first significant aftershock of the day was of local magnitude 4.0 and had its epicentre between Dhunche and Shikarbensi, coordinates 28.06°N 85.34°E, within the Langtang National Park, southeast of the district headquarters.

The second one was of local magnitude 4.2 with its epicentre lying close to Namdu, epicentre 27.63°N,86.09°E, southeast of the district headquarters Charikot.

The official death toll of the April 25 earthquake and its aftershocks is 8897.
