Dhulikhel: Two persons were killed and seven injured when lightning struck them in Kavre and Makwanpur district on Friday evening.

A person was killed and five injured when lightning struck them in Bhimpokhari VDC of Kavre. Police said Tulku Lama, treasurer of a local monastery management committee, died when the lightning struck a monastery.

In Makwanpur, a person was killed and two injured when lightning struck them in Daman-7 last evening. The injured are being treated at a local health post, the police said.
