DANG: Sapana Chaudhari of Hapur-7 and Sograj Chaudhari of Manpur-8 were killed when they were struck by lightening.

Sapna died on the way to the hospital while Sograj died while undergoing treatment in Rapti Sub-Regional Hospital, Dang District Police Office said.

In similar incident in Jhapa district in the east, Ulpho Ganesh, 50, a resident of Chandragadhi-8, was killed when he was struck by a lightning in Jhapa district on Wednesday.

Ganesh was struck by the lightening when he was returning home from the market, police said. Meanwhile, house of Dipak Neupane, a resident of Surunga-1 in the district, was reduced to ashes due to a fire caused by a lightning the same day.
