Limbuwan activists arrested for arson

DAMAK: The police today detained six cadres aligned to Sanghiya Loktantrik Rastriya Manch. The arrested included five from Damak and one from Birtamod.

According to the

police, they detained them as they resorted to vandalism. They were taking laws in their hands and trying to enforce bandh demanding the release of their cadres who were arrested earlier.

Earlier, the police had arrested seven SLRM members for their alleged involvement in abducting Krishna Karki, teacher, North Point Secondary School from Dhulabarichowk.

Demanding release of the detainees, SLRM had announced Jhapa bandh.

The bandh enforcers vandalised three commuter buses and a truck.

A bus driver Kumar BK sustained injuries when the cadres attacked his bus.
