JHAPA, NOVEMBER 12

Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chair Rajendra Prasad Lingden today claimed that he had re-defined what development meant in the last fiveyear tenure as a lawmaker in Jhapa Constituency-3.

Addressing a press conference organised at Jhapa's Bhadrapur, Lingden, who is contesting the parliamentary polls from Jhapa-3, claimed that his commitment to development and the CPN-UML's strong support would secure his victory in the polls slated for November 20. He insisted that during his last five-year tenure as lawmaker, he had brought a sea change in terms of development.

He made it clear that his party would not renounce the agendas of re-establishment of monarchy, and Hindu state and annulment of federalism.

Lindgen condemned opponents for portraying him as anti-communal and oppressor of marginalised religion, community and culture. He further argued that his party had forged an electoral alliance with CPN-UML for national development and prosperity.
