DAMAULI: The Local Bodies Association Tanahun district chapter called for a two-day bandh from Thursday in the local bodies of Tanahun demanding the government’s apathy to the implementation of the past agreement with the government.

The agitators have been demanding equal salaries and allowances to the local body’s employees at par with the civil servants.

Daily work has been disrupted in the District Development Committee, the Municipality and the Village Development Committees due to the protest.
