BIRGUNJ: Local elections would be announced after forging an agreement with the United Democratic Madhesi Front, Deputy Prime Minister Bimalendra Nidhi said.

He claimed that none can prevent the proposed amendment of the Constitution as the UDMF would support it. He was speaking at a press conference here in Birgunj today.

Responding to a query, Nidhi, who looks after the Ministry of Home Affairs, said the government was committed to bring an end to the organised crime and take action against the guilty.
