KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Saturday said the government would hold local elections between mid-October and mid-December.

He told police officers to prepare for local polls and informed that general elections would be held before January 21, 2018.

Oli said the recently signed nine-point agreement with UCPN-Maoist would guide the government’s work and help make the government’s functions effective.

The PM told Police to make structural changes to suit the federal set up.
