Rajbiraj, November 23:

The local civic society today felicitated eight policemen for rescuing a nine-year-old child,

who was abducted two weeks ago, from India’s Simraha village.

Those felicitated are senior superintendent of police Bharat Bahadur GC of the Regional Police Unit Office Rajbiraj, Superintendent of Police Raj Bahadur Bista and Inspectors Rewanta Bahadur Khadka and Ananda Mani Lamichhane, assistant inspector Shyam Khadka and constable Hira Yadav, Birendra Yadav and Debu Meche.

Chairman of the District Development Committee Mukti Nath Mandal, vice-chairman Ganga Prasad Yadav, senior social worker and former district chairman Krishna Dev Jha, Mahamaya Prasad Singh and Saptari chamber of commerce and industry president Manoj Kumar Mundhada felicitated them. Chandan Kumar Gupta, son of Narayan Gupta of Rajbiraj-8, who was abducted on October 21, was rescued by Nepal-India joint police team from Simraha village, 10 km south of Farbisgunj on November 10.
