KHOTANG: Transportation service has been obstructed for a week along the Hurlung-Bakshila-Aishelu road section in Rawabesi Rural Municipality, Khotang, following a landslide.

The landslide obstructed the road connecting Kapilasgadi and Aaiselukharka rural municipalities.  The locals are compelled to walk for hours to reach their destinations as the landslide debris on the road has not been cleared yet.

Public vehicles from Bakshila and Aiselukharka to Kathmandu could  not operate due to landslides. Khotang Transportation Pvt Ltd General Secretary Ram Kumar Hingmang said continuous rainfall had triggered landslides  and made it difficult to clear the road. The locals are compelled to carry daily essentials on their backs.

They have also complained that  the authorities concerned are apathetic towards their problems.
