MYAGDI: Locals have initiated the construction of a museum in Annapurna Rural Municipality-8 of Myagdi district by raising donation.

Karbakeli Preservation and Management Committee began the construction of museum — at Karbakeli of Kaphaldanda — which will reflect the identity of all communities residing in Myagdi district showcasing various objects related to their daily life, customs, cultures.

Secretary of Construction Committee Rabi Garbujha Pun informed that the infrastructure development has been expedited by raising donation in cash and its kind from local people after the proposal for museum construction was taken positively by the concerned agencies at local, provincial and federal government levels.

According to patron of Karbakeli Preservation and Management Committee, Cham Bahadur Pun, the construction of the museum will cost an estimated Rs 6 million.
