Locals seize trio with weapons
Janakpurdham, October 5:
Three armed persons, who were spreading terror by invading houses at night, were nabbed by locals and handed over to the police this morning.
The local villagers nabbed the trio, including a Maoist cadre, who were creating havoc at Piradi village in Janakpur Municipality’s ward no 14 beginning last night and later handed over to the police, the district police office said.
The local villagers nabbed with weapons 18-year-old Surya Narayan Yadav of Janakpur Municipality-14, 30-year-old Hare Ram Raut of Ranibazaar in Janakpur Municipality-13 and Kishore Yadav of Sinurjoda village development committee-3 in Dhanusha district. Among them Surya Narayan is a member of the people’s army, a member of the party’s district committee, Alam, said. However, the fourth member of the armed group Bishal Yadav from Dhanusha Bhutahi Partewa managed to escape. He was armed, too, the villagers said.
A cellular mobile phone, a homemade pistol and fifteen rounds of bullets were confiscated from them.
The armed group intruded the houses of locals Satya and Rambir in the pretext of searching someone, but showered Tapeshwor Shah and his wife with expletives this morning.
According to eyewitness, they were looking for Tapeshwor’s son. “The whole village got united to nab the assaulters”, a teacher of the area said.
The villagers retaliated and ran after the assaulters.
They were able to nab them at Ratnasagar Pokhari. Surya Narayan claimed that they were on the lookout for someone who attacked them.
