Less people were present at a programme organised to collect suggestions from people on the preliminary draft of the new constitution at Balmandir of Ramechhap Bazaar in Ramechhap on Monday.

People did not show interest in the public hearing and feedback collection on the new constitution draft at a programme organised in Constituency No 1 on Monday.

Some of the women, who were present at the programme did not give any suggestion. Apart from the municipality area, ppeople from 26 VDCs of the district were absent. Very few of the 100 people present at the programme gave feedback.

Only political party leaders, mediapersons and social activists, among others, were present.

Sumant Karki, A local of Manthali Municipality said he did not believe that his feedback would be included in the new constitution though he had given some.

Shyam Bahadur Magar of Sukajore said he could not give any suggestion as he did not have the constitution draft. “How I can provide feedback? I just got the draft now,” he said.
