LPG bottlers seek action against Arati Gas Pvt Ltd

Operators of four liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) bottlers in Rupandehi district have sought action against Arati Gas Pvt Ltd of Nawalparasi over allegation that the latter was trying to do black-marketing in liquefied petroleum gas, commonly known as cooking gas.

Industry operators today submitted a memorandum to the District Administration Office of Rupandehi seeking maximum action against Arati Gas Pvt Ltd.

According to Gas Traders Association Rupandehi Vice-chairperson Ram Milan Yadav, copies of the memorandum were also sent to District Police Office of Rupandehi, Nepal Oil Corporation Province 5 office, Bhalawari, and LP Gas Industry Association, Kathmandu.

The companies which have thus sought action against Arati Gas are Panchamahalaxmi Industries, Butwal Gas, Trishul and Siddhartha Gas Pvt Ltd

Earlier, police during a checking at Bhairahawa’s Buddhachowk had found a vehicle of Arati Gas ferrying empty LPG cylinders of different companies, including Butwal, Swastik, Siddhartha and Trishul brands on Monday night.

Such an act is against the rule.

Meanwhile, chairperson of Atari Gas Pvt Ltd Nagendra Agrahari denied the charges that his company was trying to black-market gas cylinders.
