KATHMANDU, JUNE 13

A delegation of Loktantrik Samajbadi Party today called on Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to remind the latter about the party's demands. The delegation was led by party chair Mahantha Thakur.

During the meeting that took place at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar, the delegation drew the prime minister's attention to a charter of 11-point demand it had put forth before the head of the government on June 7.

According to party leader Laxman Lal Karna, the meeting was a follow-up of the June 7 meeting with the prime minister.

In today's meeting, PM Deuba assured he would address the demands after the endorsement of the Appropriation Bill for the fiscal 2022-23.

The party demands include citizenship to offspring of people possessing citizenship by birth and withdrawal of cases against party leaders, cadres, among others.

Among the leaders in the delegation were Rajendra Mahato and Sharat Singh Bhandari.
