SIRAHA, MARCH 27

Madhes Province Chief Minister Lalbabu Raut on Sunday said his government was striving to bring downtrodden community exploited by rulers into the mainstream.

Addressing a gathering of Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal at Siraha's Golbazaar, CM Raut reiterated that his government would bring the backward community into the mainstream through education and employment.

"The government has launched "Educate girls, save girls campaign in the province to realise the goal," added Raut. Raut claimed that his government was making efforts to guarantee quota for Dalits, Muslims, indigenous and ethnic communities based on their population in various state organs.

He added that it would take some time to see the impact of the works his government had done in Madhes.
