The Cabinet has been expanded in Madhes Province.
Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav has appointed six more ministers and three ministers of state.
Janmat Party's Mahesh Prasad Yadav has been appointed as the minister of education, science, technology and commerce, Surita Kumari Sah, minister of social development, Shatrudhan Prasad Singh, minister of home affairs and commu-nications, Singasan Sah Kalwar, minister of water supply and power development, Rajkumar Lekhi, minister of law, justice and provincial assembly affairs and Md Jayad Alam has been appointed as minister of women, children, youths and sports.
Similarly, Abul Kalam Azad has been appointed as minister of state for social development, Keshav Rai as minister of state for home affairs and communications and Sanjay Kumar Yadav as minister of state for land management, agriculture and cooperatives, according to the state chief's office.
Provincial Chief Harishankar Mishra today administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly-appointed ministers and state ministers.
The CPN-Maoist Centre did not participate in the provincial government after their demand for two ministries were not fufilled by Chief Minister Yadav.
Earlier, Chief Minister Yadav on January 13 had appointed three ministers.
With today's expansion, now the province has 10 ministers, including the chief minister and three state ministers.
Chief Minister Yadav has kept the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Forestry after the CPN-MC decided not to join the government.
In the centre, Chairman of the CPN-Maoist Pushpa Kamal Dahal is the prime minister.
As Prime Minister Dahal did not give any ministry to the alliance partner JSP-N, it seems that JSP-N has taken revenge on the Maoists in the province.
