On the 24th anniversary of Gajendra Babu's death, the Gajendra Narayan Singh Study Centre has organised a discussion programme titled "Gajendra Babu's Notion and the Future Direction of Madhesh" in various Madhesh districts, including Kathmandu.
Leaders speaking at the program praised the movement for recognition of rights led by Gajendra Babu in grinding circumstances. They also stated that all Madhesh parties should work together again and with other oppressed castes and communities, including indigenous peoples.
The program chair and leader of Rastriya Mukti Party, Anil Kumar Mahaseth, said, "Madhesh-centric parties should come together, including indigenous and oppressed communities, to fight for their rights."
The program organised in New Baneshwor in Kathmandu was attended by top leaders primarily associated with Madhesh-centric politics, including Rastriya Mukti Party Nepal Chairperson Rajendra Mahato, Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal (JSP-N) Chair Upendra Yadav, Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) vice chair Renu Yadav, JSP leader and Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens Nawal Kishore Sah, Janamat Party Chair Dr. C. K. Raut, Janata Pragatisheel Party Chair Hridayesh Tripathi, Tarai Madhesh Loktantrik Party chair BriKhesh Chandra Lal, Sanghiya Samajwadi Party General Secretary Anant Rai, among others.
