MAHENDRANAGAR, FEBRUARY 8
A group of cyclists from Budhanilakantha Riders Club are cycling from far-western part of the country to the eastern border to enhance advocacy on social issues such as violence-free society and environment conservation.
Eleven cyclists have kicked off the rally from Gaddachowki in Kanchanpur district today. The rally is themed 'Mahakali-Mechi Cycle Rally for Violence-Free Society and Environment Conservation', shared coordinator of the event, Ram Bahadur Shrestha.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Amar Bahadur Thapa at the District Police Office handed over the national flag to the rally's team leader before they pedalled their way through Gaddachowki.
