KATHMANDU: Chairman of Sadbhawana Party Rajendra Mahato on Thursday met Vice-president of Indian National Congress Rahul Gandhi.

According to Pankaj Das, a family friend of Mahato, the SP Chair discussed Nepal’s political situation, including the Tarai unrest with Gandhi.

Senior INC leaders were also present.

Mahato who was injured in police action in the Birgunj-Raxaul border entry point a few days ago is in New Delhi for a follow-up check-up.

He was recently discharged from Medanta Hospital and was told to come for follow-up after a week.
