Mainali demurs again on pact

Kathmandu: General secretary of CPN-ML Chandra Prakash Mainali on Sunday urged the seven political parties to be more precise in explaining the outcome of the 12-point pact between allaince and the Maoists. Addressing a programme at Media Group, he said that one of the points could mean inviting foreign army to Nepal or handing over Nepal’s army to foreign forces, which cannot be acceptable.

He said, “People should take the pact positively as it intends to solve the problem, which has been tried several times but only failed.” Mainali further said that when such understandings are made, we must be careful to maintain a balance as Nepal is located between two big countries and we must remain neutral of both of them.
