Major parties failed to end crisis: Gachhadar

Rajbiraj, April 10

Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum-Democratic Chairman Bijay Kumar Gachhadar today accused the big parties of failing to bail the country out of the current crisis.

Gachhadar claimed that his party would play a lead role in finding a way out of the prevailing political standoff.

Speaking at a programme in Rajbiraj, Gachhadar accused the Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and CPN-Maoist Centre of failing to give a way-out to the country from the current political crisis. “Our party will bear the onus of bailing the country from the prevailing political mess”, he added.

Gachhadar held the extremist views of the three major parties as well as Madhesi parties responsible for lack of solution to the country’s problem. “The country has failed to get a way out as the big parties do not want to give power while the Madhesi parties abstain from using the given rights,” Gachhadar argued.

Gachhadar slammed the big parties for failing to empower Madhesi and marginalised people. He stressed the need to safeguard the statute promulgated through the sacrifice of hundreds of thousands of people. “Madhesi parties have to be ready to use the available rights and struggle for the rights that remain to be given,” he suggested.

At the programme, the party’s senior vice-chairman Jitendra Narayan Dev commented that the three big political parties’ myopic vision had plunged the country into uncertainty and instability.
