Malaysia radio to air Nepali programme for migrant workers
A memorandum of understanding was signed between Nepal's Ambassador to Malaysia Niranjan Man Singh Basnet and the Radio's Editor-in-Chief Datuk Zakaria Abd Wahab in Kuala Lumpur today to effect the launch.
The Nepali Embassy in Kuala Lumpur said in a statement that the programme would contain useful information for Nepali migrant workers about various issues and Nepali songs.
It would also broadcast information about Nepal in Malay language in a bid to promote Nepal's tourism there.
The Embassy hoped that around 800,000 Nepalis currently working in Malaysia would benefit from the programme.
The radio broadcasting can be listened in major cities of Malaysia.
