KHOTANG: An absconding convict, who assaulted a local woman, has been arrested three years later, on Sunday.

Police arrested 50-year-old Man Bahadur Sarki of Kharpa VDC-9, who was on the run after being convicted on December 21, 2012.

The District Court, Khotang had convicted him and sentenced him to four years and 11 months in prison.

He had severely beaten Goma Pariyar, leaving her badly injured.
