DAMAULI: A group of three persons attacked a man with a sword over a tender row at Woman Bhadaure Community Forest in Tanahun in the wee hours of Thursday.

According to the District Police Office (DPO), Tanahun, Laptan Thapa, Bam Bahadur Thapa and Ram Bahadur Thapa attacked Basanta Thapa (32) as soon as  dispute started taking the tender issue at around 12:30 am today.

Basanta sustained serious injuries on his right hand and other parts of the body.

He was rushed to a primary health centre in Bhimad for treatment, police said.

The trio, who were detained with the sword, has been handed over to the Belchautara-based Area Police Office.
