BHIMDATTANAGAR: A man has reportedly attacked his brother, sister-in-law and nephew with an axe, leaving them injured in Bedkot Municipality in Kanchanpur district on Tuesday.

The injured have been identified as Tikaram Rana (28), his wife Janaki Rana (24) and the couple's 12-year-old son Sushant Rana while the attacker has been identified as Tikaram’s brother Binod Rana (22), the residents of Bedkot Municipality-6 in the district.

Rana had attacked his brother and other family members over a family dispute, according to police.

The injured were referred to Nepalgunj Medical College, Kohalpur from Mahakali Zonal Hospital, local resident Bhoj Rana said. Of the injured, Rana’s wife has been reported to be in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the attacker is in the police custody for further investigation.
