JHAPA: A youth was burnt to death on the premises of Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) office based in Duhagadhi-4 in Jhapa district on Friday.

According to Area Police Office, Dhulabari, Jaya Bahadur Baduwal (28) of Dhankuta district was found lying unconscious in the burnt condition at around 8:30 pm last night in a wooden room on the premises of the NOC office.

The Mechi Zonal Hospital pronounced Baduwal dead soon after he was rushed to the hospital, informed Police Inspector Subash Budhathoki.

However, a security guard at the NOC office, Chandra Kanta Das, said that he was not aware of the time when Baduwal entered the office premises on Friday.

Baduwal was working as a helper for the NOC fuel carrying tankers until one and a half years ago.

Police said that investigations into the case were underway.
