BHOJPUR: A man was critically injured after being attacked by a khukuri in Bhojpur district on Saturday.

The injured has been identified as Sujan Darnal (28) of Khawa VDC-2 while the alleged attacker has been identified as Sanjeev BK of Bokhim Municipality-4, informed the Eastern Regional Police Office, Biratnagar.

BK had attacked Darnal on stomach with the sharp weapon at around 8:30 pm, near a Buspark situated in Bhojpur Municipality-7.

The injured is being treated at the District Hospital, informed police.

BK, who had fled the scene after the incident is being searched by the Bhojpur District Police Office, said police.
