JHAPA:  A person died after falling off  a tree in Birtamode Municipaliy-7 of Jhapa District on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Man Bahadur Tamang (62) of Baraghare in the district.

The incident occurred when Tamang fell off a tree while cutting fodder for cattle near his house, critically injuring him, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police Krishna Prasad Koirala at the Area Police Office, Birtamode.

Tamang was rushed to the Birtamode-based Man Mohan Hospital where he was declared dead upon arrival, according to police.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
