RATNANAGAR: A farmer was electrocuted while constructing an electric fence around his farm at Jagatpur, Narayani Municipality-12 in western Chitwan today.

The 55-year-old Arjun Khatiwada received the electric shock while he was constructing a fence around his farm to protect the crops from wild animals, the District Police Office, Chitwan said.

The incident took place at around 2 am.

It has been learned that Khatiwada, who was critically injured due to the electric shock, died on way to a hospital.
