DAMAULI: A man was electrocuted in Tanahun district on Sunday night.

The identity of the deceased, who appears to be in his late 20s, is yet to be ascertained. However, it has been learned that he was employed at the Gandaki Nepal Cow Farm.

According to District Police Office, the man died on the spot after receiving electric shocks while fishing in Buldi River in Purandihi Makunde of Byas Municipality-3.

He was accompanied by his friend, police added.

Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been sent  to the Damauli Hospital for postmortem.

The investigation into the case is underway, police said.
