DAMAULI: A man has been found dead near the Marsyangdi Hydro Project dam in Abukhaireni of Tanahun district on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Bir Bahadur Kumal (45), a resident of Palungtar Muncipality-3 in Gorkha district.

Locals had promptly informed police after they saw the body floating on the water.

According to the District Police Office in Tanahun, Kumal, who had disappeared from home few days ago, was found dead.

The relatives have collected the body after postmortem at the Damauli Hospital.

Police said the cause behind the death is yet to be ascertained.
