MAHENDRANAGAR: A man was found dead in Bhimdatta-3 of Kanchanpur district on Sunday.

The identity of the man, who appeared to be in his 50s, is yet to be ascertained, informed Inspector Karna Bahadur Chand of the Ward Police Office.

His body was found lying on the bank of Khanne Khola near the local Sahid Smriti Community Forest, Tilakpur.

According to police, no injuries are seen on the deceased's body.

It has been learnt that the man was spotted lying on the bank of the river by a group of woman while they were collecting fodders in the forest on Saturday.

Chairman of the Community Forest Users Group, Karna Bahadur Bista had later informed police after seeing the body on Sunday.

His body has been sent to Mahakali Zonal Hospital for postmortem, police said.
