SOLUKHUMBU: Police arrested a man on charge of murdering his 11-month-old stepdaughter.

The suspect has been identified as Sukhadhan Kulung of Gudel-9 in Solukhumbu district.

According to the District Police Office, Solukhumbu, Kulung allegedly hacked his daughter to death using a sharp weapon yesterday morning.

Police said that he was arrested from the local Chachalung Jungle.

The headless body of the baby was recovered near Kulung's house while her head was found inside the house, said DSP Madhav Prasad Budhathoki.

Kulung had married a woman, who had a baby from her previous marriage, of Deusa three months ago.
