KATHMANDU: Police recently arrested a man with possession of pangolin scales.

The suspect has been identified as Ridar Dandi Bhote of Chepurwa VDC-6.

According to the District Police Office, Sankhuwasabha, Bhote was arrested with 600 gram scales of the endangered species from a bus (Ko 1 Kha 3491) heading towards Sankhuwasabha from Dharan.

The scales were hidden inside a sack, police said.

Police said that they are looking into the case.
