NEPALGUNJ: A man has shot his wife dead in Banke. According to District Police Office Banke, Sanjay Kumar Barma, 30, of Duduwa Rural Municipality, shot his wife Shanti Devi, 28, on Thursday night.

Police Inspector Rana Bahadur Bista at DPO, informed that Barma shot two bullets from 12-Bore gun registered under his name killing his wife on the spot.  He further informed that Berma is now under police custody for the further investigation.

Berma, who is said to be mentally ill and taking medications, has confessed his crime during the preliminary investigation, according to the police.  While pleading guilty, Berma said that he killed his wife on suspicions of her clandestine relationship with another man.
