PARBAT: The District Police Office, Parbat, has detained Jibalal Bhusal and his wife Seeta Chapagain of Hubas Village Development Committee-3 on charges of polygamy.

Bhusal’s first wife, Guma, had filed a case against her husband

at the Parbat District Court. Bhusal had married Seeta Chapagain two months ago.

Guma had lodged a complaint with the police accusing her husband of mistreating her. Nevertheless, the police had set the husband free on condition that he would fulfil her demands. According to ASI Tikaram Pokhrel, the husband and his second wife, however, have been detained again as he failed to fulfil the demands of the first wife as agreed earlier.
