This year marks a significant change in how the rope fixing operation is conducted, according to the EOA.

Unlike previous years, when EOA awarded the task through an open application process for all expedition agencies, the association has now taken direct responsibility for the 2025 operation. EOA selected and appointed a dedicated team, arranged all necessary gear and equipment, and secured payment for the expedition. Seven Summit Treks has been tasked with providing food, tents, and logistical support at Manaslu Base Camp and higher camps.

By assuming direct oversight, EOA aims to ensure a more streamlined, coordinated, and efficient rope fixing process, marking the first time its own climbing team will manage the operation to the summit of Mt. Manaslu, the EOA stated.
